I wanted to make a new and interesting case for the UNIHIKER. I had a bunch of ideas from batman-type gadget setups to robot parts, but landed on a spider because it just seemed fun. Plus, the 8 legs also ensure that it will solidly be able to stand upright easily while also being a creature.
I separated the model into 2 parts. There is a clear section in which the UNIHIKER fits. The top clamps down on one side of the base, such that we can open up the spider and interact with the UNIHIKER if need be. There is an opening at the back so that the power cable can be fed through, like the spider is shooting a web.
For fun I also included a texture, which makes the spider look as seen below:
