Smart Drip Irrigation Solution for Arid Regions| BOSON SCIENCE PROJECT

Project Description:

This project is a demonstration device that integrates a rainwater harvesting system and an intelligent drip irrigation system for agricultural water conservation. It is designed to help students understand the global water crisis and how technology can contribute to the efficient utilization of water resources in arid regions. The system comprises two main functional modules:

Rainwater Harvesting System:

Real-time monitoring of water tank storage levels using a water level sensor.Visualization of water level status via the micro:bit LED matrix display.Water level warning features to promptly alert users about the water storage situation.

Drip Irrigation Control System:

Continuous monitoring of soil moisture levels using a soil moisture sensor.Intelligent control of the water pump based on sensor data, automatically regulating the start and stop of drip irrigation according to soil moisture levels, thereby preventing over-irrigation.

Through hands-on practice, the project allows students to intuitively grasp the importance of water conservation and fosters environmental awareness. By integrating sensor technology and automatic control principles, it inspires students' interest in technological innovation. Additionally, the project demonstrates how intelligent solutions can address real-world environmental challenges, highlighting the interdisciplinary nature of STEM education.
