This is officially my first post here.
I have been working on a reverse knee or chicken walker for a while now.
It uses the LattePanda and a SSC-32U servo controller
It has a 5 mp camera and a Sharp IR Distance sensor and a condenser microphone .
Based on what verbal commands I give it determines what action it will do.
Actions include: Face Detection, Color tracking, Sentry(Motion Detection) and Free Roam.
The software is of my own designed and is written in .NET and does facial detection, color detection and motion detection.
The sharp ir distance sensor is connected to the onboard arduino which then relay the information back to the LattePanda.
The software measures the distance to an object and based on this it then decides which direction to move.
The bot uses 13 servos all are MG996R servos.
The batteries are located in each of the feet.
I am using two 7.2v 2700 mAH battery packs.
One is for the LattePanda and the Other is for the Servos
The shock absorbers are not for looks they actually serve a purpose to aide the servos and soften the walking gait.
Here is the bottom view of the LattePanda enclosure I designed.
Here is the top view of the enclosure with the SSC-32u servo controller mounted.
Here is a closeup view of the camera and sensor.
This is the prototype that I first designed as a proof of concept before going big.
Hope you find this interesting and I am looking forward to seeing comments.
Will be doing a video very soon.
