if you are someone who loves capturing life through a lens, whether it is with your phone or a carema, you have probably encounter this situation:just as you press the shutter button,your hand shakes uncontrollably,resulting in blurry photos. As a birdwatching enthusiast and blogger,I often face this frustrating issue while trying to capture bird photos in the great outdoors. To overcome the problem of shaky hands affecting the quality of my shots, I have
invested in equipment like the DJI gimbal.While the gimbal effectively prevents shake,it does not offer the ability to zoom in on subjects.
Recently, I came across a fasicinating solution , a stabilizing telescope. It does a great job at reducing the manual shake, but using it with just one eye can be quite exhausting. Thats when an idea struck me as I looked at my newly acquired stabilizing telescope and the new product by DFRobot -Unihiker K10.
What if I combine the Unihiker, which comes with its own lens ,with a high-magnification telescope? Wouldn't that create a portable long-range stabilizing camere?
With this idea in mind, I wasted no time in putting it into action. To create this camera, Iuse the following equipment: UnihikerK10 a stabilizing telescope and 16GB memory card.
Following that ,I wrote a promgram for taking photos. The program's function is as follows: when you press the ' A ' Key on the Unihiker, it captures the current photo and stores it in the SD card. It also displays the captured photo on the screen for one second. The name of the photo is assigned as ‘ picture_ ’ followed by the current time. The complete program is as follows.
Then, I designed a backshell for the keyboard module to align its lens with the telescope lens. The detailed diagram of the backshell is shown below.
Finally, a super cool high magnification optical stabilization Unihiker camera was born.Here are the detailed images.
