You tell it to turn off the lights, and it does so; you ask it to record temperature and humidity, and it obediently logs the data. This one-way āyou say, I doā model has shaped the fundamental perception of the Internet of Things.
However, the ESP-Claw AI agent framework offers a different answer. Centered around āChat Coding,ā it breaks through the traditional limitations of cloud dependency and the inability of devices to think independently, bringing the āintelligenceā of AI agents down to the edge chip. This means that devices powered by ESP-Claw are no longer passive executors of instructions, but independent agents capable of forming a closed loop of perception, reasoning, and decision-making locally.
Yet even the most powerful brain needs a ārobust bodyā to carry it. With the UNIHIKER K10, we see an ideal hardware embodiment. This highly integrated AIoT development board, powered by the ESP32-S3, is compact yet remarkably capable: a 2.8-inch color display, a 2MP camera, dual microphones, a speaker, as well as built-in sensors for temperature and humidity, ambient light, and 3-axis acceleration. - Once enter the ESPCLAW flash page. Press and hold the "BOOT" button on the back of K10, then connect K10 to your PC/Mac via USB cable.
- Click on the connect and choose the right COM port, connect your K10 to the computer.

- On the configuration page, you need to complete the following settings.
WiFi Setup: Select a 2.4 GHz WiFi network for configuration.
LLM Provider: I chose Qwen as the provider. If you have APIs for Qwen, OpenAI, or Claude, you can switch to those as needed.
Instant Messaging: Configure the chat platforms to connect to. Currently supported platforms include Telegram, QQ Bot (OpenClaw), Feishu, and WeChat ClawBot. You can enter multiple platforms at the same time.

Search Engine
š Once the search engine is configured, ESP-Claw can retrieve the latest information via the internet. Weather queries also rely on search engine support.
We recommend configuring Tavily, which offers a certain amount of free usage.

Open the Tavily Dashboard, sign up for an account and log in, copy an API key, and paste it into the āTavilyā field in the web burning tool.

Advance Settings
Configure advanced settings (optional), see the configuration instructions.

Finally, click āFlash Firmwareā below to flash the ESP CLAW firmware onto the UNIHIKER K10.
Once the flashing is complete, press the RST button on the back of the UNIHIKER K10 to reset the device. Then you will see ESP CLAW on the K10.

š If ESPCLAW is not connecting to Wi-Fi properly, you will see the K10 AP mode SSID on the UNIHIKER K10 screen. Please connect to the K10 hotspot, then reconfigure the Wi-Fi, LLM, and IM settings and save them.
It is possible that the ESPCLAW Flash website did not successfully save the above settings.
